Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theatre

Savannah earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from Kent State University, where she received rigorous, conservatory-style training in acting, voice, and dance. The program emphasized both performance and academic excellence, offering intensive studio work in scene study, musical theatre repertoire, vocal technique, choreography, and audition preparation. While at Kent State, Savannah also engaged in productions across a range of styles—from classical and contemporary plays to large-scale musicals—developing a well-rounded foundation in both the artistic and technical aspects of theatre.

 

Her training at Kent State fostered a strong sense of professionalism, creative discipline, and a deep appreciation for collaborative storytelling—skills that continue to shape her work as a director, educator, and performer.

NYU Tisch

School of the Arts

Film/TV Industry Essentials Certification

Savannah completed the Film and TV Industry Essentials program through NYU Tisch School of the Arts, a comprehensive certificate course developed in partnership with Yellowbrick and industry leaders. This program provided in-depth exposure to the film and television industry, covering topics such as screen performance, directing, producing, storytelling, casting, and industry workflows.

 

Through this certification, Savannah gained valuable insight into on-camera technique, the behind-the-scenes structure of the entertainment industry, and how to navigate a career in film and television. This training has enhanced her work as a performer and educator, allowing her to prepare students for both stage and screen with a deeper understanding of the professional landscape.

School of the Arts

The Business of Entertainment Certification 

Savannah completed the Business of Entertainment certification through NYU Tisch School of the Arts, a specialized program designed to explore the inner workings of the entertainment industry from a business perspective. The course covered key topics such as entertainment law, marketing and branding, project financing, production management, distribution strategies, and talent representation.

 

This training equipped Savannah with a deeper understanding of the professional and entrepreneurial side of the arts industry—knowledge she applies to her work as a director, educator, and coach. It continues to inform her approach to preparing students for real-world success, both onstage and behind the scenes.
